This project remains one of our favourite 2 storey extensions for family use, a good example of what can be achieved without detracting from the original qualities of the building.

The Whitehouse project  is a detached 1960's house with a strong plan layout and distinctive interior design. The proposals extend the house on two levels providing double height dining space with full glazed facade and a mezzanine bedroom with views of the surrounding mature landscape setting.

Planning approval had to consider the adjacent protected trees and adopt cantilevered structural design to avoid intrusion to tree root zones.
